(Answer is at the bottom of this post)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, with funding from the <strong>Royal Academy of Dance<\/strong>, our group had the wonderful opportunity to learn <em>Tangos Flamencos<\/em>\u2014one of the many beautiful styles of Flamenco dance. <strong>Fifteen residents<\/strong> took part in the classes and later performed in front of <strong>hundreds of people from our community<\/strong> at the festival but our journey didn\u2019t stop there! <br><br>In the summer, Kambala partnered with Cromwell House Hub and I taught our routine to their group as well. If successful, our teacher <strong>Lola<\/strong> will continue to guide us\u2014this time teaching us <em>Buler\u00edas<\/em>, a lively street-style Flamenco dance, while helping us perfect different <em>palmas<\/em> (clapping) techniques and improve our rhythm and count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The feedback from our learners has been overwhelmingly positive\u2014many said they felt like they had become part of a new family and that is was a fun way to exercise, get fit and feel that they belong in our community. \u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can\u2019t wait to keep dancing, learning, and celebrating our shared love for Flamenco together at a Spanish Cultural evening in Kambala! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer to the quizz above is 4: Sandra, Lisa, Selami and Hilary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I didn\u2019t share this earlier because we didn\u2019t want to spoil the surprise\u2014but our Kambala Flamenco Group had an incredible time performing at the Battersea Community Festival!
