{"id":45,"date":"2024-04-28T00:18:32","date_gmt":"2024-04-28T00:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mykambala.co.uk\/?p=45"},"modified":"2025-02-08T00:31:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-08T00:31:09","slug":"mega-skip-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mykambala.co.uk\/?p=45","title":{"rendered":"Mega Skip Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On&nbsp;<strong>Saturday 30th March 2024<\/strong>, Kambala Residents were invited to dispose of their unwanted household items (up to six) into the mega skip&nbsp; \u2013 for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kambala.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/MegaSkip2-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2147\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kambala.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/MegaSkip1-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>These included:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Electrical equipment <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Household items like mattress and sofas. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One bag of rubbish (counting as one item) and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One masonry item (e.g.&nbsp; a garden slab etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was advertised to all the neighbouring estates as well, to encourage residents within the area to dispose of their excess\/useless items in an environmentally friendly manner \u2013 without resorting to Fly-tipping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was some initial confusion, within the Kambala Estate, as leaflets were received by residents giving the wrong date for this event. This matter was brought to the notice of the Council and they did their best to rectify the problem \u2013 via temporary posters \u2013 fixed to lamp-posts around the estate \u2013 with the correct date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mega Skip arrived late but remained on site for longer time.&nbsp; By the end it was nearly full,&nbsp; as residents from our and the surrounding estates in Battersea, took advantage of this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However the Fly-tipping problem within our estate still remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information visit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wandsworth.gov.uk\/rubbish-and-recycling\/mega-skip-days\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"www.wandsworth.gov.uk\/rubbish-and-recycling\/mega-skip-days\">www.wandsworth.gov.uk\/rubbish-and-recycling\/mega-skip-days<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On&nbsp;Saturday 30th March 2024, Kambala Residents were invited to dispose of their unwanted household items (up to six) into the mega skip&nbsp; \u2013 for free.
