Kambala Flamenco is back

Our free Flamenco classes are starting again on Thursday 9th April, from 6:00–7:00pm.

Booking is essential—please contact me or text your name, address, and phone number to reserve your place.

We do ask for full commitment, as we’ll be working towards a Flamenco routine to perform within the Winstanley neighbourhood community.

As part of the programme, there will be opportunities to perform at the Royal Academy of Dance Community Dance Day in June (the theme is Dance Around the World), as well as at the Falconbrook Multicultural Day and the Battersea Community Festival.

We’ll also host a Spanish-themed evening at Kambala, with tapas, where the group will perform, celebrate their achievements, and enjoy the experience together. As well, there will also be an opportunity to be part of our teacher’s professional 1.30-hour Flamenco show in the summer.

Have Your Say About Your Estate – Residents Event

Residents of Kambala are invited to take part in an upcoming event organised by Wandsworth Council, giving you the opportunity to share your ideas and help shape improvements in your local area.

📍 Location: York Gardens Library, 34 Lavender Road, London SW11 2UG
📅 Date: 24 March 2026
⏰ Time: 4pm – 7pm

This session is open to residents from Winstanley, York Road, and nearby estates — including Kambala.

On the day, you’ll be able to:

  • Meet your Estate Managers and Area Housing Manager
  • Raise repair issues or ask about ongoing and future works
  • Share feedback on cleaning and waste services
  • Learn more about other council services and support available
  • Find out how to get more involved in your community and influence local decisions

There will also be an estate walkabout at 3pm with the Estate Manager (meeting point outside the venue) for those who would like to highlight issues on-site.

This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard and contribute to positive changes in our community.

We encourage Kambala residents to attend and take part.

Celebration of the Falcon Road Bridge renewal

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in the launch of the renewed Falcon Road Bridge — a truly inspiring milestone and a fantastic achievement for Wandsworth.

Well done to the entire team behind the project, from the designers and artists to the community contributors and local young people. Their collaboration, creativity, and care have transformed the bridge into a space the whole community can be proud of.

Having attended the bridge design community workshops, it has been especially meaningful to see the journey from those early ideas through to this wonderful finished transformation. It was also lovely to see so many familiar faces from the community and Kambala residents coming together to celebrate the renewal of the bridge with us. For those who weren’t able to attend, I’m happy to share the video I captured so you can experience this special moment too.

🗣 KERA at the Clapham Junction Community Meeting 🏙

As a KERA representative, I attended the Clapham Junction Community Meeting on Wednesday, 29 October, at St. Peter’s Church, Battersea, hosted by Wandsworth Council.

The event brought residents together to discuss ideas and share feedback on shaping the future of Clapham Junction station and the surrounding areas. It was a great opportunity to ensure the voices of Kambala residents are heard in decisions that affect our wider community during the Q&A session that followed their presentation

We’re proud to be part of these important conversations — building connections and helping to shape a brighter, more inclusive future for Battersea! 💬💛
